Dear Heli (and all)
it’s of course up to you, but recording a skype webinar doesn’t require separate video or any editing, you can just simply record it via Skype (the slides and voice), and I think it would be a good idea to do that. I’m sure someone at TUAS knows how to do that and can help you with that.
Emilia asked already long time ago about recording the webinar. I have checked issues concerning recording and decided that we don’t record it mainly because the person who makes our videos is on vacation until 16.12.2019. And I can’t cut and edit videos. We also have to have on paper speaker’s signed permission to publish and to use the videos and also some other bureaucratic issues related to the permissions. I hope this is ok for you? We will deliver the presentation files/links to those who signed up on the webinar.
I also got the link to Nick’s presentation, but it doesn’t work. I will send the link as soon as Nick will send a new one. Oskari Kaupinmäki will send his presentation tomorrow.
I really hope we can get more Estonian ja Latvian participants J
I think it would be best, if each shared their presentations in google drive in here (folder Presentations for webinar under WP3 –folder) than sending many emails. What do you think?
We have tested the web app use and at least there were now everything ok with Nick and the slide sharing. To ensure, so you all have the actual Skype for Business or web app?
And I hope that you could open the call at least 20 minutes before the webinar starta?
Nick will send his presentation to me on Monday and I can send it to you. Could you all also send your slides to each other so that you can check that there is not same things in your slides?
Anna will send tomorrow our reminders of the invitations. I’ll hope that you could send also yours’? There is now 35 registered persons plus us. Mostly from Finland (from different cities, national traffic planning authorities and consultant companies), 11 from Sweden, and two other names that I can’t say where they are from. So I think that the reminders with a letter are now vital?
Here below the covering letter text that you can use and translate to inform your organization, your stakeholder groups and other regional and national traffic planning organizations.
We will send today and tomorrow our invitations. Let’s hope that we will reach nice amount of participants and also some discussion after the program!
Br,
Heli
The WHO HEAT tool – Introduction and case examples
A webinar on user experiences of applying the Health Economic Assessment Tool (HEAT) for cycling on the 21st of November 2019
The HEAT project is arranging a webinar on experiences WHO HEAT tool calculations in Baltic sea cities.
HEAT-expert Nick Cavill from the WHO HEAT Core Group will provide some future views on the development of the tool.
The webinar will demonstrate the calculation process and applying the HEAT tool via case examples from three cities in the Baltic Sea region.
In addition, consultant Kaisulina Vihanti from WSP Finland Ltd. will shed light on the HEAT tool trainings and workshops during the project.
What is WHO HEAT Tool ?
The online HEAT tool was developed by WHO to facilitate evidence-based decision-making. It calculates the economic value of the health benefits resulting from physical activity. This is due to the reduction in mortality caused by cycling and walking. The tool is intended to be part of comprehensive cost–benefit analyses of infrastructure projects and it complements existing tools for economic valuations. The tool will supplement the information needed for better urban planning.
Webinar is arranged with Skype for Business
The webinar is brought to you with Skype for Business. If you don't have the programme installed on your computer you can participate via the Skype For Business Web App. Using the Web App requires installing an extension - please check with your IT department that extensions are allowed on your computer. N.B.! Some problems may be experienced in joining the webinar when using the Google Chrome browser. To avoid any problems we recommend using another browser.
The length of Nick presentation was ensured and here is the new version of the program. Do you have still some comments? Is the title ok for Tartu also?
Anna will update the information on webinar website and we’ll do other related updating things.
We will also send you the English version of the covering letter which you can translate and send to your stakeholder groups and other people on your own and regional authoritative organizations.
