Lühikokkuvõte

Some research shows that heritage sector can be a good partner in public healthcare and well-being
programmes. We do not have consistent practice in this field in Tartu, so we want to analyse best
practices in Nordic Countries and create a thematic arts in healthcare network of our partner cities.
Our aim is to work out a cooperation project where we would bring together museum and healthcare
specialists who could contribute to developing new services.


Eesmärgid

There would be two study-visits of maximum 4 days and after that we would put together a new
application to the EU programme that would support compiling a local arts in healthcare strategy.
This grant would enable us first of all, to organise some meetings within Uppsala and Tampere
Cultural Department to discuss current cultural policies in each city and good practices in arts in
healthcare in EU (based on my own research and on the experience of Uppsala and Tampere).
Secondly, there would be other meetings, organised by the Cultural Departments of Tampere and
Our main aim would be to put together a new cooperation project plan in this field of arts in
healthcare and find partners in museums and healthcare institutions in each city.
Therefore, this Nordic Baltic Mobility Programme grant would enable us to work out a local "arts in
healthcare" strategy for each of the partners of the project using the knowledge and expertise
generated by our cooperation commonly.


Tegevused

After the study-visits all of the partners would have an overview of already existing arts in healthcare
projects in Nordic region and would be in the middle of forming teams that bring together
museum and healthcare specialists.
Based on this overview and discussions each city would have a blueprint of their own pilot project
that includes the description of their roles, responsibilities and future activities, which would be
realised in a future cooperation project funded by EU
